How to renew SSM online?

Follow the three simple steps below and you will be able to renew your SSM business in less than a day!

1. Fill in your business renewal details

Select how many years to renew and fill in the required information. Please note that we only provide SSM business renewal service for Sole Proprietor Enterprise and not for PLT, SDN BHD and BHD company.

2. Make payment online

Our team will check for your Business status upon receiving the submission of your details. You will get an invoice from us via email/phone and you can make payment to us via online transfer.

3. Print out your SSM Certificate

Upon successful transaction, your SSM Certificate will be available and delivered straight to your email address in softcopy format within 1 working day. Print out the SSM Certificate and Business Info.

What is the cost to renew SSM online?

The SSM renewal cost depends on the type of business registered, number of renewal years, and number of branches. The following business renewal cost is similar to the walk-in renewal fees at SSM office. Please note that we will charge an additional RM30 of service fee on top of your renewal fees.


Can I renew my SSM business if it is expired for more than 12 months?

No, it is not possible to renew the SSM business after 12 months. Business registrations that expire beyond 12 months will be categorized as expired and non-renewable. If you want to continue your business, you can sign up and register for a new business. You are allowed to apply for the “old” business name if it is not already taken, but still, the business will receive a new SSM registration number.

How many years can I renew for my SSM business?

Renewal of Business Registration can be made for a period of one (1) year and not more than five (5) years.

What happens if I continue to carry on business after the period of business registration has expired?

Based on the general guidelines by Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM), any person who continues to carry on any business after the period of registration has expired commits an offense and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding RM50,000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding two (2) years or both.
